Restored in 2016 by a meticulous elderly gentleman, purchased in 2018 by the current owner out of the Portland Mecum auction.
The current owner is a collector and this is his go to car for any tour or driving event due to the smooth ride and quality restoration.
Everything on this car has been restored (see detailed photos).
Meticulously maintained and stored in heated garage.
Engine & Transmission:
Completely rebuilt 221flathead V8 engine (see detailed photos).
Detailed eye to keeping the car stock, with the exception of using Flathead v8 headers reds headers Everything else rebuilt to stock.
Three-Speed Manual Transmission drives strong and smooth.
Manual breaks stop great.
Very dry and clean underneath.
On examination it is obvious this restoration was a labor of love, very well sorted car.
Body:
Beautiful tan Ford color, I took extensive photos to show how beautiful this paint is (see detailed photos).
No rust.
Body panels are all straight, very nice gaps, exceptional rubber and chrome.
I pointed out in the detailed photos a small paint blemish on the bottom of the front rear driver side wheel well (see photo) and a scratch on passenger side of the grille and bottom of Full-size spare tire enclosure.
There is a small blemish on passenger side wheel arch (see photo).
Windshield opens great for airflow see video.
All glass is in great shape, windows roll up and down as they should.
Lenses are great.
I have been to many car shows and frequent Pebble Beach car week and am very meticulous and this paint I would grade as a 8.
5 on a scale from 1-10.
Stunning finish.
Interior:
Gorgeous condition, completely gone through interior.
Comes with Ford salesman's handbook with paint samples inside.
AM radio not currently working.
Glovebox and dash in exceptional condition.
Dash instruments, Speedometer, temp gauge, gas gauge, volt meter and oil pressure all working.
Seats are as new and I took photos of the bottom of the doors to show the solid condition.
Inside door panels are great.
The interior is needs to be seen in person to appreciate fully.
Summary:
Excellent Overall Condition is wonderful and this 1936 Ford has been restored to a very high standard.
The car can be taken to win car shows as well as cruised regularly.
Clean Oregon title using the chassis number.
The restorer spent and enormous amount of energy and time to put this car in exceptional condition.
When you're around this car in person you can tell it's a good one.
